MIL-PRF-58111A(CR)
signal level of 4.0 volts applied to the required pad over the frequency range of 350 to 4500 Hz.
Center clipping (''zerocrossing distortion") shall be no greater than 2 dB with a signal level of
0.085 volts at 1.0 KHz applied to the required pad.
3.15 Attack and release time, AGC. With 1.0 KHz applied to pins J1-L and J1-M, the
attack time shall not be more than 0.1 seconds and the release time shall be 3.0 seconds ±1.5
seconds.
3.15.1 Attack and release time VOX. With 1.0 KHz applied to pins J1-L and J1-M, the
attack time shall not be more than 0.1 seconds and the release time shall be between 0.5 and 1.5
seconds.
3.16 Breakpoint and slope, AGC. With 1.0 KHz applied to the pad connected to pins J1-
L and J1-M (see 4.3.7.11f) and when the linearity of the input-output curve varies 1.0 dB (this
will be the breakpoint), the input signal level shall be between 0.2 and 0.5 volts. With an increase
in the input signal level from 0.5 to 5.0 volts the slope of the input-output curve from the
breakpoint shall be 2 dB maximum change in output for a 20 dB change in input. This
requirement applies to the equipment operated in both the 5 ohm and 150 ohm microphone input
positions.
3.16.1 Sensitivity of VOX. The sensitivity of the VOX circuit shall be at least 8 dB
greater at 500 Hz than at 3 KHz. At the maximum counterclockwise position of the VOX control
and with the ICS switch at VOX ON the unit will operate exactly as it does for the ICS switch at
HOT MIC.
3.17 Transmit audio output, microphone amp. With J2-h open and J1-d connected to
J1-c (key common) or with J2-h connected to key common (manual SP5T mode) and any of-J2-
Z, T or J1-a, F, B, d connected to key common, the transmit audio shall be enabled as follows:
with the microphone selector switch in position 1 and the channel selector switch in positions 1
through 5 and a 1.0 KHz signal at a level of 0.6 volts applied to the 5000 to 5 ohm pad connected
to the microphone input, the output on the indicated output lines shall be 0.39 volts ±10%. With
the microphone selector switch in position 2 and a 1.0 KHz signal at a level of 0.6 volts applied to
a 2.4K to 150 ohm pad with blocking capacitor, 47 pfd or greater, connected to the microphone
input, the output on the indicated output lines shall be 0.39 volts ±10%. The wideband audio
output J1-K shall be 28 mV ±10% for either position of the MIC switch.
3.17.1 Aux mic input. With an Input of 28mV at 1 KHz the output on the indicated
output lines shall be 0.39V +l0%.
